In market research, whether qualitative or quantitative, before talking to people, one needs to define who is the person we want to talk to. Which is the target audience, or for whom the product is intended. Usually information such as "gender", "age" and "social class" are the most basic data in order to select a consumer or the respondent of the survey. To determine the social class, "Brazil Criterion” was created by ABEP-Brazilian Association of Market Research Companies. Brazil Criterion is a standardized estimator of the consumption capacity of Brazilian households. It is a tool that allows a comparison between studies carried out in different regions of the country, by different companies and at different periods. See here the questions of classification of Brazil Criterion: www.abep.org/Servicos/Download.aspx?id=12
